Plain English version: I collect your email so I can send you emails. I don't sell it. I don't track you across the internet. If you want out, you can leave any time, and I'll delete you.
The short version
- I collect your email address when you subscribe to the letter, and a small amount of analytics data when you visit the site.
- I use it to send you the letter, run the website, and improve it.
- I do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
- You can unsubscribe or be deleted at any time by emailing me.
1. Who's responsible
This privacy policy covers oooforever.com and any related services run by Bianca Board, trading as Out of Office Forever, in Queensland, Australia. For privacy questions or deletion requests: bianca@oooforever.com.
2. What I collect
Email address (when you subscribe). When you opt in to the Letter, I collect your email address and the date/time you subscribed. That's the bare minimum needed to send you the thing you signed up for.
Replies and conversations. If you reply to one of my emails or send me a message, I keep that conversation – same as anyone keeps emails – so I can remember what we've talked about. I don't quote you by name without permission.
Information you give me on a call or via the fit check. If you book a Zoom call or fill in the Tally fit check form, I collect what you choose to share – your name, business, what you're working on. I use it only to assess fit and prepare for our conversation.
Analytics. The site uses minimal analytics (Netlify's built-in analytics and/or a privacy-friendly tool like Plausible) to count visits and see which pages get read. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.
What I don't collect. No location data. No cross-site tracking pixels. No Facebook/Meta pixel. No third-party advertising cookies.
3. What I use it for
- To send you the Tuesday/Thursday letter and occasional announcements.
- To respond to your replies and emails.
- To run and improve the website.
- To deliver Sent™ to you if you become a client.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations (tax records, etc.).
That's the full list. If I ever want to use your data for something else, I'll ask first.
4. Who sees your data
The only third parties involved in handling your data are the tools I use to run the business:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) – sends and stores the Letter subscriber list.
- Tally – handles the Sent™ fit check form.
- Zoom – for strategy calls.
- Netlify – hosts the website.
- Stripe (or similar) – processes Sent™ payments.
Each of these has its own privacy policy. They're all standard, reputable, GDPR-compliant providers. I don't sell, rent, or pass your data to anyone outside these operational tools.
5. How long I keep it
I keep your subscriber data as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, you stay on a suppression list (so I don't accidentally re-import you) but you stop receiving anything. If you ask me to delete you fully, I will, except where I'm legally required to keep records (e.g. tax records for paid clients).
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you have the right to:
- Know what I have on you.
- Get a copy of it.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Have me delete you.
- Unsubscribe from anything I send, any time, with one click.
Email bianca@oooforever.com and I'll handle it within a few business days. No forms, no friction.
7. Cookies
The site uses a tiny number of essential cookies (e.g. for the Kit form to remember you've subscribed). It does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, I'll add a cookie banner like everyone else.
8. International users
I'm in Australia. If you're in the EU, UK, or US, your data may be stored on servers in those regions or in Australia, depending on which tool above is handling it. All of the providers I use comply with GDPR and similar regulations.
9. Updates
If I change this policy, the "last updated" date at the top will change. Big changes (e.g. adding a new tool that handles your data) will also get a heads-up in the Letter.
10. The human bit
If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know exactly what I have on you – just email me. I'd rather have a five-minute conversation than have you wonder.
